Wedding Awards Rules and Regulations
The Las Vegas Wedding Awards is a culmination of honor, recognition, and appreciation of those who have made a difference in the Las Vegas Wedding industry, and who have demonstrated exemplary professionalism with dignity and respect, and more importantly, make most of us proud to be in this business. The awards are open to voting throughout the year, beginning January 1st every year, and close on November 1st. Voting is available both online, and thru Survey Monkey, and available to all wedding professionals in Las Vegas, and their brides. We also email over 5000 recently married brides inviting them to participate and vote as well.
It takes a minimum of ONE vote to be nominated to a category. Some categories receive over 100 nominees, and some nominees get over 100-200 votes. The program book is not big enough to put every nominee in, and the screen at the awards is not large enough to put all the nominees on. Therefore, while everyone that is nominated, is welcome to come to the event, only the top 5-6 nominee's in each category are presented in the program book and on screen at the awards event.
You may vote for yourself, but not more than once. Votes are tallied by the nomination committee. The nominations and awards are open to"all" wedding vendors and professionals in Las Vegas, whether you are a home based company, retail business, or any of the above, just moved to Vegas, or been here 50 years, whether you are highly active, or somewhat quiet, whether you are a member of any organization, or not, whether you do bridalshows, or not... whether you are a client of Las Vegas Bride, or not... allthat matters is you "get votes". Some votes are disqualified, ie; Voting for yourself more than once, Voting for yourself in All Categories, and Votes for those who have demonstrated extremely unprofessional or criminal behavior within the Las Vegas Wedding Community. Winners must be in attendance to accept their award.
Finally, there are a few awards that Las Vegas Bride chooses ourselves, without votes... these are highly honored recognition awards... and include... the Lifetime Achievement Award, and the Community Service Award, and other similar recognition awards. We thank you for reading the rules and regulations.
